在英语教学中,阅读教学是比较难教的部分,也是极为重要的部分,其目的是培养学生快速准确地理解和获悉外语语言的能力。在各种英语考试中,也都把阅读理解当作主要测试项目(大约占题40%),这就要求在教学中应该注重培养学生的阅读理解技能。
英语的五大基本功包括:听、说、读、写。读包括朗读与阅读。阅读又分为泛读与精读。快速浏览,了解文章大意,找出文章所给信息点为泛读;在此基础上掌握重点单词,短语及句型。能概括文章段落大意及中心思想,能翻译文章为精读。教师在平时的教学中,既要注重培养他们的泛读能力,更应该培养他们的精读能力,注意两种能力相结合。初中教学进入八年级以后就出现了较长篇幅的文章、大量生成的词汇。科技型、说明型、议论型、人物传记型阅读文本也日益增多,而初中学生所学知识肤浅,词汇量小,分析问题也不够深入。教师在较长文章的课堂教学中也要注意整体性的把握。让文本阅读与语言应用紧密结合。目前,英语学习两级分化比较严重,我们农村的英语教学又成了初中英语教学的新问题。学生底子薄、习惯差、这就更要求农村教师在教法和对学生学习的指导上进行探索和研究。以下是我对阅读教学的一些看法:阅读前:
1.教师可适当介绍与阅读内容有关的社会、历史、人文、自然背景,特别是与我国不同的英美等西方国家的历史地理和风俗习惯资料;
2.摘要介绍部分有碍于课文理解的生词。并要求学生在阅读中如果遇到可能猜得出的生词一定要去猜测,而不要忙于查词典;
3.引导学生根据文章标题、插图和有关问题讨论并预测文章内容;
4.最后教师最好提出一两个能概括全文中心思想的指导性问题,让学生带着问题去阅读。
阅读时,可分为计时阅读,快速阅读和细节阅读。通过几个层次的阅读理解培养学生的能力,强化读取信息的意识,为巩固和运用知识打下了基础。
1.快速阅读(scan)指定的内容(用眼读而不是用嘴读,逐句读而不是逐字读);
2.提问好、中、差各层次的学生,问题要围绕中心思想(mainidea);
3.提出细节性问题,让学生获取有关what,where,when,why,who,how等基本事实以及start,process,end总体过程脉络;
4.细读:布置任务,反复阅读课文,反复思考;
5.分小组讨论问题答案,然后全班检查答案。读完后
1.鼓励学生用简略的方式表述自己对文章的见解和领会,而不是复述课文;不要纠正学生的语音、语法错误,哪怕比较严重;
2.在学生对课文理解的基础上,检查学生对生词的猜测情况,既然是猜,能沾边达意就行。
3.把语言运用到实际生活中去。围绕已学课文开展各种形式的口头交流活动。比如可以复述课文,分角色扮演,讨论某个问题,调查一个项目,采访相关人士、仿写与课文相关的话题等;也可动笔对课文进行改写,列提纲、评述等。具体根据学生的具体情况而定。
总之,教学方法多种多样,目的都是一致的,那就是以学生发展为本,促进他们的学习习惯和学习能力的提高。
