Everyone has some unforgettable experiences.
Last Monday, there was a serious earthquake in Sichuan Province. Many people were killed. A large number of houses collapsed. I was shocked. When I see theses pictures on TV, my eyes were filled with tears. I wanted to do something for people in the disaster areas.
Two days later, in front of the library of our school, almost all of the teachers and students came to donate money. I was moved. I thought although I couldn’t go to Sichuan like the soldiers and the doctors, I still wanted to try my best to help them. I took out all my pocket money and threw it into the donation box.
I hope they can rebuild their homeland early. It will be an unforgettable experience in my life. It makes me experience that if everyone makes a contribution for our country, we can overcome any difficulties.
The population of the earth is increasing very fast. Humans must make the earth support the increasing population. This has made it necessary for agriculture and industry to develop rapidly.
Such a rapid development produces more and more waste, which goes into the water, the soil and the air. Some of it is made harmless. However, where there is too much of it, the poisonous waste may do great harm to the things around the people.
When farmers add fertilizer to the soil to make plants grow better, or use poison to kill pests, poison is sent into the air, the water and the soil. When birds, fish and people eat the grain, drink the water or breath the air, harm will be done to their health.
The air in big cities is often made very dirty by cars and factories. Millions of tons of waste and poisonous gases are sent into the air with the smoke. In some places, little is done to make the smoke clean before it goes into the air.
Fortunately, people are beginning to realize just how serious the whole situation is. In many countries, laws have been made to stop factories from sending out poisonous gases.
The bell rang and the class was over. The classroom became noisy.
Some students went out of the classroom. I was just chatting with some of my classmates when Li Hong came to me.
She smiled and said to me, "Whats four minus four? Do you know?" "Its zero. That is easy." answered I. But Li Hong shook her head and said "Its wrong.
Its eight." "Why? Thats impossible!" "You will understand if you cut down four corners of a desk." said Li Hong. "Is that a joke?" "Oh, yes." We all laughed.
During the class break, we had a good rest. We often have a pleasant break.
English is important and useful to us. How can we learn it well? Here are my suggestions.
First, we should often listen to the tapes, English songs and programs. Watching English movies is also helpful to us. Second, we should speak English in class as much as possible. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. The more you speak, the fewer mistakes you’ll make. We'd better join the English club and practice with others. Third, we can read more English newspapers and magazines. It’s good for us. At last, we should recite some good passages and keep diaries.
In a word, as long as we do more listening, speaking, reading and writing, we will learn English well.

Mrs Wang decided to make a trip to Beijing. When she told her son about her decision,he was so overjoyed that he jumped up.
All children are innocent, but not all of them are honest. Quite a few of them tell lies. We frequently hear about children being punished by their parents or teachers for lying. My nephew, an eleven-year-old boy, is often scolded by his mother. Whenever he comes home late, he says that he was at school. But more than once he was found playing with other naughty boys on their way home. Who is to blame now? Is it the children themselves who enjoy telling lies or other people, such as their parents or teachers, who cause them to do so?
We have no doubt that children are born to be pure. They grow up, affected by their surroundings. Although they take interest in almost everything, they havent developed their own powers of independent judgement. They cant tell whats right or whats wrong. Their powers of observation
① in contrast, are much stronger than their powers of judgement. And above all, they are good at imitating
②Unfortunately, we adults sometimes lie. Maybe we find it necessary or have to to do so sometimes. This is something like white lies
③The trouble is that most of us dont avoid doing so before children. Thus, childrens lying is, in a way, the result of adults act.
We also believe that children certainly make mistakes. At first, they do have some interest in truth and honesty. A boy has broken a glass, and have admitted his mistakes; he is almost likely scolded instead of being praised by his parents. And when a pupil admits that he misses ClAsS one time, he is usually warned not to do that again another time by his teacher. Gradually the child loses the courage to tell the truth; on the contrary, he feels it helpful to tell lies: at least, he can escape being punished here and now. And at last, he concludes that to tell lies is somehow a good way to get rid of trouble. Before long the parents and the teacher will be complaining that the child is always lying, but they seldom realize that it is they who have brought this on the child.
No one likes failure in his life. But not all can always succeed. It’s a pity that someone will never stand up after a failure. We must learn to accept failure. After all, failure is not always a bad thing. We can learn something from it. Just as the saying goes, "Failure is the mother of success. "We can know our own shortcomings and learn some experiences from a real failure, ff we made up our minds to start again, it will be easier to succeed next time. Furthermore, failure can make our will stronger.
As we know , water is very important to man, we can’t live without water. The amount of water which is suitable to drink is less and less. But some people don’t care about it 。They waste a lot of water in their daily life. Even worse, they pour dirty water in to rivers. They throw rubbish into rivers , too. Many rivers and lakes are seriously polluted. Something must be done to stop the pollution. Only in this way can we live happily. If we don’t save water, the last drop of water will be a tear-drop of us.
